Do I need to be at the cabin during the cleaning?

No. Most of our clients are remote owners. We coordinate access through lockboxes, smart locks, or hidden keys — whatever you prefer.

Do you bring your own vacuum and equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I arrive with all of the professional cleaning supplies and equipment needed unless you have products you'd specifically like me to use. I do not cross-contaminate and every tool is properly sanitized between visits. To ensure 100 percent purity, we recommend having us use your home's own vacuum.

What products do you use?

We default to the best All purpose cleaner products but can provide eco-conscious, low-fragrance products that are safe around kids, pets, and well water upon request. If you have preferred products you keep at the cabin, we're happy to use those instead.

Can my pets be loose during the cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! I love meeting your furry family members. Just a heads-up—your cleaning may take a little longer because I have a habit of stopping for pets, belly rubs, and saying hello. Wildlife sightings may also cause a brief distraction… I can't promise I won't pause to admire a deer, fox, or curious bird outside the window for longer than I'd like to admit.

Do you provide linens?

No, we do not. We do offer a linen service as an add-on for turnover clients — we ensure to throughly wash all linens, making the beds guest or home ready.

How do you bill?

We accept most credit cards, ApplePay/Wallet, Venmo, Zelle, Checks, and Cash. We supply invoices upon request.

How do you determine quotes?

Accepted Answer

Quotes are based on the size of your cabin or home, the scope of the clean (standard, deep, move-in/out, or turnover), the condition of the space, and any add-ons like linens, laundry, or interior windows. For most properties we can provide an estimate over the phone or by email, and we'll confirm pricing after a quick walkthrough — in person or via photos — so there are no surprises.

What if something is broken or low on supplies?

We send a photo report after every clean noting anything that needs attention — burnt-out bulbs, low paper goods, leaky faucets, that kind of thing.

How can we best prepare for our cleaning service?

Accepted Answer

To get the most out of your clean, we recommend picking up personal items, clearing countertops and floors of clutter, and securing any valuables or fragile pieces you'd prefer we not handle. If you have pets, let us know how you'd like them managed during the visit. Beyond that, no prep is required — we'll handle the rest.

That's completely okay! Every home and homeowner is different. If you decide Maplewood Cabin Care isn't the right fit for your needs, there's never any obligation to continue service—no hard feelings. Finding the right cleaner should feel easy, not stressful.

Will I have the same cleaner every visit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! When you book with Maplewood Cabin Care, you'll work directly with me, so you'll always know who's caring for your home. Occasionally my mom joins me to clean, so you may see her friendly face helping out on a visit.

What's the difference between a light maintenance clean and a deep clean?

Accepted Answer

A maintenance clean is perfect for homes that are already in good shape and just need regular upkeep. It focuses on keeping your home fresh with routine tasks like dusting, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and wiping surfaces.

A deep clean is a more detailed, top-to-bottom service that's ideal for first-time clients, seasonal cabin openings, or homes that haven't been professionally cleaned in a while. It includes everything in a maintenance clean, plus extra attention to areas like baseboards, doors, light fixtures, cabinet fronts, buildup in bathrooms, and other often-overlooked details.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Accepted Answer

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a cleaning so we can offer the slot to another client. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee. We understand things come up — just reach out as soon as you can and we'll do our best to accommodate.
